Reading Notes: Homer's Odyssey, Part A
Homer’s Odyssey, Part A:
·
Part A consists of nine parts: The Land of the
Cyclopes, Prisoners of the Cyclops, The Cyclops Defeated, Escape from the
Cyclops, The Curse of Polyphemus, Circe’s Island, and The Death of Elpenor.
·
Every part of the story is there to add something to the story-line, character
development etc.
·
The story is told in first person narrative:
told as if he was retelling this story to someone else, or writing this down in
a diary. This is an approach that I can use for a story telling.. instead of
just using third person all the time
·
I like that since this is a longer story it has
many parts to it, that all tie in together
*This story is part of the Odyssey unit. Story source: Homer's Odyssey, translated into English by Tony Kline. (2004).
